Ho Dynamo FC Secure Historic Qualification to Division One League
Volta Region football club Ho Dynamo FC achieved a major milestone in its history after securing qualification to Ghana’s Division One League following an impressive campaign in the Volta Regional Division Two competition.
The Ho-based club earned promotion in 2016 after finishing top of their Division Two zone and advancing to the Regional Middle League, the final stage used to determine clubs promoted to the national second-tier competition.
During the decisive phase of the competition, Ho Dynamo FC delivered strong performances, recording crucial victories that kept their promotion hopes alive. Despite facing stiff competition from rival clubs across the region, the team demonstrated resilience, discipline, and determination throughout the campaign.
Following the conclusion of the Middle League, a successful protest process confirmed Ho Dynamo FC’s qualification, officially granting the club promotion to the Division One League — a historic achievement that marked the club’s rise into national football.
The qualification represented years of steady development for the club, which had progressed through the grassroots and regional football structure since its establishment. Promotion to Division One provided a bigger platform for the team to compete at a higher level and showcase talent from the Volta Region on the national stage.
Ho Dynamo FC went on to make its Division One League debut in 2017, signaling a new chapter in the club’s growth and ambition within Ghanaian football.
The achievement remains one of the most significant moments in the club’s history and continues to inspire young players within the Ho municipality and the wider Volta Region.
